Sandy Miller Biography
Born in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, Sandy Miller is an American journalist who works as a co-anchor of Foz 2 News at 6 pm on Weekdays.
Miller went to Missouri State University in Springfield, on a scholarship. While at the university, Sandy won the Miss Missouri USA 1984 title. She later placed 3rd runner-up to Mai Shanley of New Mexico in the national Miss USA pageant in 1984.
Later that year, Sandy went ahead to win the Miss International USA title and compete in the Miss International 1984 pageant in Japan.

In October 2002, Miller joined FOX 2. She now co-anchors weekdays for FOX 2 News at 6 p.m and is also an anchor for Fox2 NewsEdge at 10:00 p.m.
She previously worked as a 9 p.m. news anchor at KPLR-TV for 4 years before eventually joining Fox 2. Miller has also worked as the Director of Marketing for Koplar Communications. She worked in that position for 3 years before she began her journalism career.
For over 10 years, Miller spent time in corporate television working for Anheuser-Busch, STIHL-TV, Lutheran Church Missouri Synod among others.
Sandy Miller Retiring
On July 29, 2021, Fox 2 announced that Sandy would be leaving the station and retiring after 25 years on television. She will officially be leaving the station on August 17, 2021. Announcing her retirement, Sandy wrote on Facebook;
“It has been a privilege to bring you the stories that impact our community for more than two decades. For those of you who entrusted me to share your very personal stories, I’m truly humbled and honored.
“I feel extremely blessed to have had the opportunity to work in my dream job. I hope you could see my passion and genuine desire to make a difference.
She went on to write; “I have decided to hang up the mic at Fox 2, and want to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you! My last day on air will be August 17th. I can’t wait to spend my extra time traveling and spending time with family!”
