He’s known for his roles in multiple tv series including; Sports Night, Six Feet Under, Dirty Sexy Money, Parenthood, The Catch, and 9-1-1. His role in the tv series Six Feet Under earned him nominations for three Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards. He won twice for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series

Krause played the role of Casey McCall on the ABC network’s comedy Sports Night. Krause got a starring role in the HBO drama series Six Feet Under from 2001 to 2005.
He later played the lead role of Detective Joe Miller in the Sci-Fi Channel miniseries The Lost Room. Peter later was cast as young lawyer Nick George in ABC’s drama Dirty Sexy Money. In 2010, Peter was cast as Adam Braverman in the NBC comedy-drama Parenthood. He played the role for five years till 2015. He is currently playing the role of Captain Bobby Nash in the tv series 9-1-1.
