Carfagno started her professional career when she joined the Weather Channel as an intern. Working at the Weather Channels meteorology department accumulated her beneficial experience as a weather forecaster following which she joined the network as a full-time forecaster shortly after she graduated.

She performed as co-host with Eric Fisher on “Weather View” every morning at 2:24 am in 1997. She shortly after became the host of the show, “Weather Center Live”, which circulated until 2016 beginning in 2013. On November 12, 2013, she alongside her co-host, Alex Wallace introduced a new type of weather graphics for constant weather reliability titled “Weather All The Time.”She has worked for over 20 years being very passionate about her work making her favorite ranges about hurricanes and other large storms.

She presently works as the co-host of the morning show, “America’s Morning Headquarters” every morning from 6 to 9 am. For her contributions, she has been granted several awards including the Robert O. Cole Award given to one of the outstanding students with a strong interest in weather forecasting. She is also a member of the “Chi Epsilon Pi” group and is a recipient of the honor.
