She also revealed that she draws inspiration from her brother Nick. “Growing up, we were always together. He used to sing and dance, but tennis had a natural talent.
“I’m looking for inspiration from him. He’s such a fighter, he fights for everything. He’s much younger than me … If he can do that, why can’t I? What’s stopping me?” Halimah said.
She also discussed the upside and downside of having a famous brother. “I’m not there like him. It’s good and bad that Nick is in the limelight. There’s additional pressure. I know me as Halimah, not Nick’s sister. I want to focus on people. It’s great to achieve that. “
